Lily Allen
“Littlest Things”
Not only does this song have really interesting musical tidbits, but the lyrics are high quality also. Something tells me she spends a lot of time working on being a lyricist. I think she pulls it off nicely. Good form. Cheers mate.

From the Album: Alright, Still
Love this song, dude. I remember the first time you introduced me to Lily Allen and I thought her sound was so cool. I bought her album when I was in NOLA and listened to it all the way back home. Awesomeness.
Ps, I especially love how she uses the triplets in “sometimes I wish…” Triplets are grossly underused in music now, I feel. That’s part of the reason why I love the sound of this song.
This is the second most beautiful Brit voice i know. The first is Ali Rogers of Puracane. (which, btw, I demand that you hear “big day”, and their awesome Jane’s Addiction cover of “summertime rolls”)
Getting back to this track however, I like this singer becuase of her ability to sing casually about the day-to-day, and that she uses words and phrases that are just SOOOOOOOOOO British – takes me back to my primary school days… Orange Squash, Trolley, etc.
My favorite line of all time is this song she sings about her brother. The lyric is:
“Oh little brother please refrain from doing that,
I’m trying to help you out so can you stop being a twat.”
I LOVE it when “That” and “Twat” rhyme.
Sorry, been busy this week…yeah, she is awesome.
i love her “alfie” song sometimes when i’m in a good mood.
“my lit-ahl brahtha’s in his bedroom smohkin weed”
